How can YOU get on the fast track to your goals?
Once you intentionally create a reflective community, you might be surprised at how you just landed on the fast track to your goals! And who wouldn’t want to be on the fast track!
What is a reflective community? Actually it has a double meaning.
A reflective community:
- Reflects (mirrors) oneself.
- Reflects (thinks deeply) about one’s purpose in life.
As author Jim Rohn says, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most amount of time with.”
Look around you. Who are YOU spending time with? Are these people pushing you forward to the life you really want to live? Your community already reflects your values, beliefs, self-image, and lifestyle.
If you want different results, you can intentionally make changes to surround yourself with people who are living a life more similar to what you desire.
Here are three examples of intentionally building community:
1.) Want to write a book? Join a writers group, listen to grammar podcasts, and study writing techniques of your favorite authors.
2.) Want a healthier lifestyle? Take a healthy cooking class, join a workout challenge, or find a like-minded group online for tips, encouragement, and accountability.
3.) Want to advance your career? Reach out to others on LinkedIn, sharpen skills in a course, or find options that bring new connections of like-minded people.
Regardless of your goal, you can intentionally surround yourself with people who share your optimistic attitude and persistence toward growth! Now, you’re on the fast track to your goals!
